Work is a gift. Work is also one of the easiest places to hide from yourself. Ambition can become stewardship or self-salvation. A full calendar can mean calling or compulsion. Scripture gives a better vision: excellent work offered to God, free from the need to prove your worth through it.
This journey helps sort clean ambition from ego, calling from compulsion, diligence from drivenness. Zoe will keep asking who you are working for, what work is doing to you, and whether success is costing more than you realize.
“Who are you really working for right now?”
“What part of work still feels like calling instead of grind?”
“Where has striving become your personality?”
“What project are you gripping harder than you need to?”
“What is your inner Martha trying to prove?”
“How much of your drive is clean, and how much is comparison?”
“What would fruitfulness look like if it were not measured by applause?”
“Where are you tempted to bend because everybody else does?”
“What career win could cost you too much?”
“Where are you exhausted from chasing something that will not stay?”
“What future are you talking about as if you are in charge of it?”
“What if ordinary, steady work is holier than you think?”
“What assignment have you despised because it feels small?”
“If work flowed from union with God instead of anxiety, what would change first?”
